Backgrounds
The Backgrounds tab shows every background image that’s been generated in your current Create workspace, grouped by song.

Reviewing backgrounds
For each song you’re working on, you’ll see a grid of images — one per section (“act”) of the song.
Click any image to see:
- The prompt that generated it
- The section of lyrics it was matched to
- Options to regenerate or replace
These are the backgrounds that will be used the next time you render this song from Create. Backgrounds already baked into a finished Library render are locked to that render and can’t be changed here.
Regenerating a background
If you don’t like a specific image:
- Click it.
- Either press Regenerate to try again with the same prompt but a new random seed, or
- Edit the prompt and then press Regenerate.
A new image is fetched in ~10–20 seconds.
When a local SDXL generator (Lightning or RealVisXL V5) is active, the regenerate dialog also exposes a Negative Prompt textarea pre-filled with the technical defaults plus song-level avoid tokens. Any edit you make is saved per act and used on every future re-render of that act until you click Reset to default. See Editing the negative prompt per act for the full rules.
Replacing with your own image
Want to use a specific image you already have? Click Upload your own and pick a file. It’ll be used in place of the AI-generated one.
Re-rendering
After changing backgrounds, go back to Create and click Generate again. This produces a new render — a new Library card — using the updated backgrounds. Your previous render stays in the Library unchanged, so you can compare the two (or delete the old one when you’re happy).
