Privacy Policy

This policy describes how AI Music Video Generator (“the app”) handles your data. The app is a desktop application that runs locally on your machine.

Where your data lives

By default, the app stores data on your local device only. This includes:

  • Audio files you import
  • Generated lyrics, prompts, and brand-voice settings
  • Background images (AI-generated or uploaded)
  • Rendered videos and snapshots
  • App configuration and preferences
  • Local AI model weights

These files are stored under the app’s local data directory (~/Library/Application Support/... on macOS, %APPDATA%\... on Windows). They are not transmitted to us.

Network usage

The app makes outbound network calls in the following cases:

  • License activation: a one-time HTTPS request to our license server using the key you provide.
  • Asset downloads: HTTPS downloads of ffmpeg, ffprobe, and the lyric model from a public CDN on first launch (or after you clear app data).
  • Lyric model catalog: a request to retrieve the list of available local LLMs.
  • Auto-update checks: periodic HTTPS request to check for new app versions.
  • Background image generation: when you trigger AI background generation, the prompt is sent to your configured image API provider (e.g. OpenAI, fal.ai). Your API key is stored locally.
  • Showcase: if you enable Showcase, your channel URLs and handles are uploaded to our Showcase service so other users can discover you. You can disable this at any time in Settings.
  • Platform uploads (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram): when you initiate an upload, the rendered video and metadata are sent to that platform via their official APIs using your OAuth tokens.
  • Suno (when available): if you connect Suno, lyrics and style prompts are sent to Suno via their API, and audio is fetched back.

We do not collect telemetry, analytics, or crash reports unless explicitly stated. We do not transmit your audio files, lyrics, or rendered videos to our servers in normal operation.

Local AI models

When you opt in to the AI Lyric Generator, the chosen model is downloaded once and run entirely on your device. Lyric generation prompts and outputs do not leave your machine.

Third-party platforms

When you authenticate to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or other third-party platforms, you are subject to those platforms’ privacy policies. Your OAuth tokens are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your accounts or to the data you upload to those platforms.

Cookies and tracking

The app itself does not use cookies or tracking pixels. The documentation site at this URL may use minimal request logging from its hosting provider; no analytics or marketing trackers are deliberately included.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Do not install or use the app if you are under that age.

Your choices

You can:

  • Delete the local app data directory at any time to remove everything
  • Disable Showcase from Settings
  • Disconnect any platform from Settings
  • Disable the AI Lyric Generator from Settings (its model files remain on disk until you delete them)
  • Stop using the app at any time

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent change.
